Welcome to The Daily Boo

There’s a reason that AudioBoo is quickly emerging as a popular iPhone application: It makes recording audio drop-dead easy. Here’s all you have to do:

  • Hit record.
  • Talk into iPhone.
  • Stop recording.
  • Give your recording a title.
  • Hit publish.

I’m not sure it could be any simpler.

In fact, as I realized one morning last week (while showering in a San Diego hotel, if you must know), AudioBoo is the perfect platform from which to launch a new daily podcast.

And so, The Daily Boo is born!

I’ll be using my iPhone to record The Daily Boo, but it will otherwise be a low-tech podcast. I’m not planning to incorporate any music or bells and whistles into the production process, and may even skimp on adding in full ID3 tags in hopes of keeping my time on the project to a manageable amount.

So what’s in the show? There will be a clear focus on the business of online communications, the evolution of the media, and new technologies, but I’ll also mix in travel/productivity talk and the occasional family story. It will be a show that reflects some of my day-to-day work at LiveWorld and that feeds my inner geek.

In some episodes, you’ll get a running monologue from me, and other times—as often as I can, really—I’ll interview an interesting guest from my work in Austin or travels around the country.

Please give me your feedback along the way, either in the comments section or by e-mail: DailyBoo - AT - gmail.com - DOT - com.
